After the Key Biscayne small homes development boom in the 50’s by the Mackle Brothers, largers homes started poping up along the shoreline and small bays and canals. This 1967 classic Miami “modern” home is the perfect example. With soaring ceilings, large open spaces and glazed rear façade, along with a curvilinear rear façade design and circular pool, this home represents a era.
Siting on the north shore of hurricane harbor, the home offers vast views of Biscayne Bay.
The Studio was hired to modernize this 6,000 sf. 60’s gem while keeping the essence of the era. Large contemporary European kitchen, all new designer bathrooms, new lighting design, and wall & ceiling treatment are only some ogf the many improvements in the inside. Front face got a facelift, while the rear patio and pool area really stole the show. The amazing covered terrace with lounge, dining and summer kitchen where brought back to life using coastal inspired materials.
