NOMAD TRIBE

Recycle / upcycle / reuse

As a brand, Nomad Tribe inspires its growing clientele to recycle, upcycle and reuse, just like they do with their own clothing collections and brands the partner with. In the same way, their new store in the up-and-coming Wynwood hipster neighborhood conveys that feeling. This 2,000 Sf old warehouse was cleaned, repaired and reused, and finally turned into a ultra-trendy clothing boutique. An open floorplan space for their displays sits in the glazed corner and main room, as the offices and storage sit towards the back of the warehouse.

Exposed original wood structural ceilings and raw concrete floors are the main features, while reclaimed wood, reused shipping palettes, wood crates and even an old “highlighter-infused” wood boat form the main display areas.

The neon strings ceiling installation is reminiscent of the “threads” used by local Hispanic artisnads to make their clothing creations by hand.

The exterior rope-pattern murals were commissioned to a local artist to paint by hand, and the logo threaded with string by the actually client.
